Membership Renewal for Deep South Military Vehicle Club

Well, its that time again.... time to renew your membership with DSMV club. It is a very reasonable amount again... at $20.00 for the family. Remember the events that we do as a club are all Family oriented, and we welcome family to come and participate.
One other thing we would like to encourage, is for all DSMV members to consider membership to the MVPA as well. This is not required, just encouraged. There is a link on the site where you can go to the MVPA website and obtain information on becoming a member. If you choose to be a member, it includes your spouse, just tell them upon registering. You will also begin receiving a military magazine from them. DSMV club will meet after the Dixie National Parade...location TBA.

Remember to bring your "throws" for the Parade... this is a HUGE event... and there will be lots of kids...they love candy.. and the army men too!

Governors Inauguration Parade

Yesterday was the governors inauguration parade. We had a great turnout with 8 vehicles from DSMV club in the parade. we were early on in the parade... so that was good. and just behind us was the Mississippi State Band (GO DAWGS). My son Daniel marched in the MSU band. I will include a slideshow so pics can be looked at.
DSMV club will be meeting Saturday in Byram at the Swingin' Bridge Fish House 7pm. upcoming discussion for the meeting will be concerning voting in of new officers. Bring any fresh ideas... or names for nominations! final vote will be in February.

Beginning a New Year

Hey everyone.
This is certainly not to take place of the newsletters, however it might help me to get a bit more motivated to actually finish the newsletter to be mailed.leave me your comments so i can see if this is actually helpful or not.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas season... and were able to spend some of the time with family. Celebrating Christ's birth and spending time with family is what this season is about. Sometimes we all get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the BUYING frenzy and become distracted. It happens to us all, but we can always remedy it by spending time with one another.

Have you set your New Years Resolutions? Its time to begin thinking about them and setting some short term and long term goals for the year. Like many, many others... i am still setting a goal for losing some weight. Doug has done much better than me so I really have to get on the move!

Okay... this "blog" as you can see... is simply a beginning to a future newslettter and/or website. I will be looking into this much later in the year. I hope to at least be doing a newsletter that can be converted to a PDF file that can be emailed (first I have to learn how to do it). meanwhile... I plan to use the blog to help provide some information... and let it be handy for all of you computer users.

I will post pictures.. and slideshows.. hopefully!

thanks... sharon
